WHEN I DECIDE TO WENT FULLY MAC

Was on September the 10th.

I always wanted to go fully Mac.

4 years ago I had to sold me mac book because of incompatibility issues, those ages, they didn’t ran intel processors.

Today I have made the move again, have a mac book core 2 duo, 3GB of RAM, and I 320 HD, and a mighty mouse which works perfectly. Much more than I need. Its my only lap top, backups every day and for the time I want PC’s away of my life, as long as I can choose.

Of course I have boot camp installed with Parallels and Windows 7, you never know when you are going to navigate through stormy seas. I don’t care to have 32 separate for a secondary operational system.

As awkward as it may be I am writing with pen and paper, then I will blog it. When I used Pc’s I could not. But the same Mac’s make you use them more they kinda make you use it the most rational and perfect way for you; not the machine. For me right know at 4 am, the perfect way is to use a pen and then go to the keyboard.

1. Ok I recognize it was kinda of a challenge for me to prove that at 37 years old, starter with a 128k PC, I could adapt to a “hole new” operational system.

2. Fear; that in months disapered because nothing had change in my life. EVERYTHING THAT INVOLVED A COMPUTER BECAME SIMPLER.

3. Machines gotta work for you. Not the other way around. Things gotta be done and it doesn’t matter what you do for living.

4. Have you ever saw not from Microsoft, great company, awesome achievements, writing a paper about the virtues of buying a PC, besides the price of course. But we all know there is no free launch.

5. Macs are simpler for:

- Email

- Web browsing

- Calendar or ical

- Photos [call me insane but I like my personal family photos in a mainstream]

6. You have all the Office suite for mac, and outlook, that I will never change for ical and mail, coming late this year. And I wouldn’t change because of all the buttons and functions nobody never uses. Jesus grab the phone and arrange a meeting, much more close and personal.

 7. PC’ s and Apple’s computers are not so different [well…guess I being I little kind here]; it is just that I don’t have neither the time nor the patience to make to machine work for me. Mac’s are very good in doing things for you without asking 300 permissions, installing 300 actualizations and so on

8. Wanna play games buy a PS or an Xbox.

9. Apple’s general philosophy of taking everything unnecessary and leave the essential, is crucial these days. Focus on the task. Just ask your self about anything concerning this topic why I do need or that, “just in case?” A case that never happened in the past 6 months…

I made my move and went fully mac.

Worked out! For me, but I guess I needed to tell others it is no big deal.

I use my computer a lot, both personal and for work, and as long as I can chose I want windows and PC’s out of my life.
